Goa is a rare amalgamation of natural picturesque beauty, attractive beaches, famous architectural temples, grand parties and festivals and its rich Anglo-Indian heritage. Of course the most sought after places in Goa are the beautiful beaches, which are crowded throughout the year not only by Indians but people from foreign countries as well. The other major attraction of Goa is – the ancient churches, which are liked with the long history of Portuguese rule in Goa. These churches other than being a place of worship also are known for beautiful pieces of architecture from by gone days. Some popular churches in Goa are St Cathedral Church, St Francis of Assisi, Basilica of Bom Jesus, St Augustine Church, etc.

 

But apart from beaches, seafood and churches, Goa also has some beautiful temples and other places of tourist interests. Arvalem Waterfall, located 2 km from the town of Sinquelim, is a very popular picnic spot. Similarly, Chapoli Dam and Aguada Fort also are the other tourist interest spots in Goa.

 

The tiny Indian state also hosts some of the most beautiful temples. The most popular are Mahalaxmi Temple and Mangeshi Temple, which almost every tourist stops to have a look.
