International Sand Art Festival, celebration of creativity and artistic skills
Artists and sculptors from across the world are showcasing their creativity and artistic skills at International Sand Art Festival at Konark in Puri. The 5th edition of the International Sand Art Festival is an exceptional opportunity for the visitors and tourists to watch and enjoy the making of sand art.
The Sand festival is celebrated across the world, but Odisha has earned an identity because of its uniqueness. Skillful sand artist are producing artistic and beautiful sculptures. The five day long festival beginning from 1st December to 5th December at Konark, Odisha will set a stage for the sand artists to showcase their imagination and originality. As many as 30 Indian and 10 foreign artists are expected to participate in International Sand Art Festival organized in Odisha.
The best sand artists from Mexico, Spain, Singapore, France, Norway, Germany, Netherland & USA and from different states of India will participate and produce sand arts. Famous Odia sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik is the brand ambassador of International Sand Art Festival event organized in Odisha.
This has been a destination point for sand art lovers. This year the sand art festival coincides with the Konark Dance Festival so that visitors can witness both these brilliant showcases of art. There will be several stalls, five out of which will be for international artistes from Mexico, Spain, Singapore, France and Norway. Dedicated stalls have been set up for national artistes that include women and differently-abled artists too.
The cut-throat competition between participants is definitely a sight to watch. The sand festival is free for spectators. The International Sand Art Festival in Odisha attracted artists and sculptors from across the world. As many as 50 sand artists from around the world are participating in the event that will showcase sand sculptures on various themes everyday.
