Mon, Nagaland
The Mon district of Nagaland is called as the home to Konyak Nagas. Quaint, traditional villages and warriors sporting tattoos provide a pleasant contrast, creating assured interesting sights to see. Fishing, wood carving, scull exhibits, World War II remains and bird watching remain the top things to do in this area. Nagaland is one of attractive hilly destinations with superb greenery scenery in India and one of the popular destination in North-east.

Phawngpui, Mizoram
Known as the Blue Mountain of Mizoram, Phangpui is the highest mountain peak in Mizoram and is famous for orchids and rhododendrons. A spectacular view of trees and flowers of a wide range of colours offers what could be called as a dreamy, almost surreal view of the blue hazed hills, and the valleys opening up below.

Moirang, Manipur
It is only here that you will be able to find the Phumdis, a series of floating islands exclusive to the Loktak Lake, or the Floating Lake, in Manipur. The area forms part of Keibul Lamjao National Park, the last natural refuge of the Sangai, a brow-antlered deer which is the state animal of Manipur.

Kalimpong, Darjeeling
Kalimpong, a name some say has been derived from the word Kalibong, a type of fiber plant used for making paper, boasts of pleasant weather combined with magnificent views of Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan snow peaks, sweeping landscapes and lush greenery.

Dawki, Meghalaya
Located in the Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya, the freely flowing Dawki or Umngot River in Shillong offers a breath-taking view of the city. The greenish-bluish coloured river hosts the annual boat race held in March. The river also has a bridge known as the Dawki Bridge, a suspension bridge built over the river by the English.

Lachung, Sikkim
Lachung is a small riverside village in Sikkim located 8,500 feet above sea level. Best visited in summer, Lachung offers an unmatched view of the snow peaks, and cool weather even in what would normally be the hottest time of the year.

Snow falls in the village till March and April and after that one can bask in the glory of wild flowers blooming to glory.
