IMPORTANT NOTICE AS PER ODISHA GOVT. RULES & REGULATIONS W.E.F 01ST MARCH 2012
• Tourists / Researchers visiting the areas of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) will require permission from District Magistrate with a copy to Local Police Station. Any violations will attract criminal cases against tourists/researchers/sponsors/tour operators under appropriate sections of law.
• All applications for such permission shall be made to the District Magistrate through the Tourist Officer of the concerned district.
• Night visit will not be allowed.
• Photography is strictly prohibited of the tribal persons belonging to the PVTGs.
• Physical proximity of the visitors to the PVTSs should be strictly prohibited. You are also not allowed to enter the houses of the PVTGs.
• Permission will not be granted for any form of amusement/entertainment by the PVTGs for the benefit of visitors.

The temperature in Tribal areas of Orissa varies between, minimum 10 degree Celsius in winter to maximum 40 degree Celsius in summer.
ENTRY POINTS TO TRIBAL TOURS: BHUBANESWAR (Odisha) or VISHAKHAPATNAM (Andhra Pradesh) or RAIPUR (Chhatishgarh). It depends upon the arrival and departure date to match with the market days.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
- Best season to visit: It is ideal to have the tribal tour between October - March.
- Preferred mode of transportation: Toyota-Innova / Tavera / Scorpio / Tempo Traveler depending on size of the group.
- We organize hotel accommodations in tribal areas and always try to provide best rooms/hotels in these areas so that you can get maximum comfort.
- Hotels in these areas are small, neat and clean with attached bath. Bathrooms are provided with western style toilets.
- Always try to come in small group around (08 - 12 nos.) in order to provide the best services.
- One must plan a tribal tour according to the Weekly Market days of different tribal markets.
- Try having an experienced Govt. Approved English Speaking Guide along with you in a tribal tour of Odisha.
- Dress-codes and cloth-accessories: In OCT: Normal cotton clothes, NOV: Light woolen clothes, DEC -JAN: Heavy woolen clothes, FEB: Light woolen clothes, MAR-SEP: Normal cotton clothes. During rainy seasons Jun-Aug, carry raincoats, rainy shoes, and umbrella etc.
